springtime is near

bits of my outfit today. i'm normally a black/grey kinda gal, but lately really feelin' neons and brights. obsessed with my neon/camel combo socks and my new lilac pants. makes me eager for spring.

weekend instagram

decided to copy kate, and show you some snapshots of my weekend (taken on my iphone with instagram). was invited by a friend to go watch javier dunn at room 5. he had a wicked sense of humor so he was a delight to watch. check out this cover of miike snow he did. had a wonderful day of brunch at memphis and watched crazy, stupid, love (which i have already mentioned).

i also went a little nail polish crazy this weekend. i am OBSESSED my new lilac/gold glitter nails. it makes me so happy to see them shimmering. i also discovered a place that sells essie for $3.50 near my house. needless to say, i definitely bought a load of polishes (that i didn't technically need). all in all, it was an amazing weekend with lots of sun and polish.

i crush: conan

today is a great day! i get to be an audience member of a special, secret test show for conan's new show on tbs. i'm. so. freaking. excited. i was fortunate enough to see conan back in december when he was still on the tonight show and it was such a thrilling experience to see conan live and in action!

another reason today is such a good day is that is my friend (lover?) serena's birthday! we get to celebrate by seeing one of our favorite people ever and then afterward were gonna do a day trip to san diego. needless to say, this weekend is going to be action packed. so, i'm doing all of these post ahead of time so you guys can have something to read in my absence.

i have finally made it and settled in here in portland! i'm having a great time exploring, eating, and drinking in this cozy city. i am also fortunate to have friends here who have great taste in all things, so they have been so kind to give me so many suggestions. hopefully, blogging will resume as normal! happy monday!

movin' on up

happy friday! the time has finally come! i am moving on up to portland, oregon this weekend! so for the next week, please bear with me as i am making a huge trek up to the pacific northwest.

new tumblr found called i can read.

i spent hours upon hours going through the archives. my favorite image i found was this one. this perfectly describes my life right now. i'm not sure what i'll even be doing in the next couple of months, but that makes me so excited. i have a couple of things brewing and in the works, i will let you know as soon as things are finalized! happy hump day!

good morning!

the first, of many, portland entry. i just had to share what i was greeted with every morning as i went out for the day; a bed of pink flowers on the ground. never failed to bring a smile and a small squeal to see it. today is my last day here, and i am so sad to be leaving.

Favorite Things

My favorite tea in the WORLD! Discovered in Paris, but is also sold at Williams Sonoma stores.

I love Easter time for these little suckers! SO GOOD! Especially with a cup of coffee.

Toblerones are my favorite. And when I discovered they made these mini ones, my heart melted.

DIY-Phobia Conquered

I definitely do have an obsession for all things W. Anderson. So when I saw this post on a Tenenbaum (my favorite) x stitch, I decided it was time I kicked my phobia of all things diy/craft. My friends and I decided to do a handmade christmas this year, and I gifted the result (above) to my dear friend VA along with a handmade plushy dino named Iggy.

Now that I have defeated my fear I cannot stop! Next up is a crochet blanket!
